Join an intimate group of passionate people for a unique sourdough class that goes beyond traditional baking. Led by fermentation enthusiast and microbe medium Yoshua Greenfield, the class offers a mindful, easeful, and meditative approach to baking bread. You'll leave feeling confident in crafting your own sourdough bread at home and discover how to use that dough to bake pita, pretzels, bagels, pizza, and more.

This class isn’t just about crafting the perfect loaf; it’s an exploration of life, patience, and creativity.

Class Overview:

  • Date & Time: April 9th, 530-730pm. (Participants are welcome to arrive up to 10 minutes early)

  • Location: You Enjoy Life Homestead in North Boulder. (Location revealed upon sign up)

What You’ll Learn:

  • The basics of creating and maintaining a sourdough starter—the key to great bread.

  • How to make the base dough and how to transform it into a great loaf.

  • Insights into how sourdough can be an easeful and meditative process that you can weave effortlessly into your day to day.

  • Creative ways to use sourdough beyond traditional bread, inspired by Yoshua’s adventurous culinary spirit.

  • Your own sourdough starter to take home.

  • A take and bake dough you’ll make in class and bake at home.

  • Hands-on guidance in making your first loaf.

  • Step by step written recipe to guide you in making your own bread after the class.

  • Space for questions and feedback.

  • A communal meal, where we enjoy various sourdough and fermented creations together. (Vegetarian and Vegan Options)
