Massages by the Creek

Massages by the Creek

Experience the peacefulness of Yellow Barn Farm in a whole new way with our newest summer offering: relaxing, hour-long massages by the creek, tucked in the shade and surrounded by nature.

Kerin is a massage therapist & somatic bodyworker. Her work is rooted in the belief that embodiment is not just a practice, but a remembering — a return to the wisdom, rhythm, and truth already living inside the body.

She offers intuitive, restorative sessions that weave together deep tissue, lymphatic therapy, craniosacral work, structural bodywork, and nervous system regulation. Every session is shaped by what’s present — whether it’s physical tension, emotional weight, or the simple need to feel more at home in your body.

She's completed over 740 hours of trauma-informed, integrative massage and somatic education through the Pacific Center for Awareness & Bodywork (PCAB) in Kauai, Hawaii. This work is her way of offering presence, care, and support to those on their own embodiment journey.

Kerin will be set up from 10am-5pm on Wednesdays by the creek towards the back of the property (will move inside the Yellow Barn if there’s rain)

We ask that you secure you’re time slot and feel free to add on a sauna/cold plunge session before or after your massage for the ultimate spa day at the farm!

Release Stuck Emotions

Release Stuck Emotions

Release Stuck Emotions

In a world that urges us to push forward and keep it together, many of us have become experts at suppressing our emotions—especially the hard ones. But what happens when the pressure builds for too long? This 90-minute workshop offers a gentle, embodied space to explore and release the emotions we’ve learned to hide. Through embodied movement we’ll reconnect with the parts of ourselves that have been holding our bodies' untold stories. You’ll be guided to feel—not analyze—what’s been weighing you down, and express it in a safe, grounded way. This is for anyone ready to move through what’s stuck and make space for more peace, joy, and connection. No experience necessary—just a willingness to feel.

Stephanie is an Embodied Self Healing Coach. She guides others back to their joy & peace through somatic practices that embrace the messiness of inhabiting a human body in an overstimulating world.

Free for Yellow Barn Soil and Social members (YBF members use code SOILMEMBER)

$15 for public

Preserving & Canning Workshop 101

Preserving & Canning Workshop 101

Preserving & Canning Workshop 101

Join us for a hands-on introduction to the art of preserving food.

In this workshop, we’ll explore a variety of methods to extend the harvest—whether it’s produce from your own garden or fresh finds from the farmers market. You’ll learn the basics of canning, fermenting, drying, and other traditional techniques, taste a range of preserves, and enjoy some homemade lite bites together under the ‘loafing shed’ at Yellow Barn Farm. This class is a welcoming overview for anyone curious about bringing the flavors of the season into the months ahead.

Please bring your own jars and ingredients/produce you wish to take home!

About Your Instructors:

Joshua Greenfield is a homesteader, chef, and educator based in North Boulder. Co-creator of Brothers Green and founder of You Enjoy Life Homestead, he’s spent the past decade exploring the intersection of land-based living, food, and self-discovery. Joshua teaches cooking and fermentation through a lens of presence, simplicity, and seasonality—offering classes that are more about reconnecting to intuition than following rigid recipes.

John Clay has spent his adult life deeply immersed in all aspects of the food world—from cooking to growing to butchering. He previously served as the head whole-animal butcher at Wyebrook Farm, a regenerative farm in Pennsylvania, and has managed permaculture and organic farms in Maine. John’s deep reverence for nature and passion for teaching others how to interact with food forms the foundation of his work.

Sips, Soaks & Ceremony

Sips, Soaks & Ceremony

Featuring Puffin Sauna Club & Oxytocin

It’s steamy... It’s sippable... It’s soul-nourishing!

This evening will be a medley of magic: hot sauna, cold plunge / creek dips, fireside music, yummy food truck nomz, and heart-expanding tea ceremony all wrapped up in a bundle of warm community.

We’ll begin the event with a centering practice to connect to the land and each other, and split into groups as we rotate between Puffin's iconic mobile sauna + cold plunges, and gather around for a beautiful tea ceremony.

Oxytocin's tea ceremonies are an intimate way to experience the richness that tea offers as a plant medicine. Expect this to be a slow and intentional practice reminiscent of other plant medicine ceremonies. This will be facilitated by Bu Nan Brown, a Zen priest who specializes in crafting masterful tea spaces.

After our structured activities, there will be time to hang out, enjoy relaxed social hangs, support our farmer + chef friends of the delicious Schlop Stop food truck (NOTE: You are welcome to buy a meal included in your ticket for a small discount).

This will be a truly inspired evening of depth, play, and celebration with friends old and new.

Please Bring:

👙 Bathing Suit and Towel

👕 A change of clothes for post-sauna

💺 A backjack, pillow, or meditation cushion for tea ceremony

📝 Optional journal for tea ceremony

Notes:

-Please plan to arrive between 6:15 and 6:30pm, no later.

-This is a rain or shine event

-Seats are limited given sauna capacity. Reservations are required and we will sell out!

This is what a special and elevated evening hosted by your friends from Oxytocin, Puffin Sauna Club, hosted at Yellow Barn Farm, for a little magic under the stars.

We'll have a couple folks lead an interactive chat around the different ways to custody bitcoin. Whether you've been holding your own private keys for years and are ready to help others learn, or you're scared to move your bitcoin off of the exchange you bought it on - we hope you can join us.

Back by popular demand, our friends of the Schlop Stop food truck will be providing dinner for everyone who RSVPs. We will use the RSVP list here as confirmation for dinner, so please come ready to contribute $20 (or preferably ~17000 Satoshis).

For anyone keeping track at home, that's right, the price of burgers is falling in bitcoin terms.

Dinner is included for all who RSVP.

💸 Suggested contribution:
$20 or ~19,000 Satoshis (Bitcoin preferred!)
This helps support the meal and keep these events sustainable.

RSVP Required

To help us plan food and space, please RSVP in advance.
Your name on the list = your dinner is covered.

Seasonal Cooking Class

Seasonal Cooking Class

Come join us for an evening of hands-on seasonal cooking at the Yellow Barn. We'll use the fresh harvest from this week’s produce drop from Sunburn Farms. This will be a demonstration, with some hands on opportunity for those wanting to sharpen their knife and cooking skills. We will co-create a delicious shared meal together, while learning how to make the most of the ingredients each season brings.

This class is designed to help you feel confident in the kitchen year-round. You’ll learn simple and creative ways to work with what's fresh and abundant, explore different cooking techniques for a wide variety of produce, and walk away with practical skills and inspiration for your home kitchen. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned home cook, this is a chance to deepen your connection to the land, the food, and your own intuitive flow in the kitchen.

About Your Instructor

Joshua Greenfield is a homesteader, chef, and educator based in North Boulder. Co-creator of Brothers Green and founder of You Enjoy Life Homestead, he’s spent the past decade exploring the intersection of land-based living, food, and self-discovery. Joshua teaches cooking and fermentation through a lens of presence, simplicity, and seasonality—offering classes that are more about reconnecting to intuition than following rigid recipes.

Kerin will be set up from 9am-5pm on Wednesdays, we ask that you secure you’re time slot and feel free to add on a sauna/cold plunge session before or after your massage for the ultimate spa day at the farm!

Moon Over Fire: Ayurvedic Workshop

Moon Over Fire: Ayurvedic Workshop

Moon Over Fire: A Yoga Journey for Pitta Harmony
A grounding yoga journey to transform inner fire into radiant peace.

Moon Over Fire is a soulful introduction to understanding and harmonizing Pitta dosha—the Ayurvedic force of fire, transformation, and intensity. In this immersive workshop, we’ll explore how Pitta manifests within the body, mind, and emotions, and how it influences the world around us. Through this lens of awareness, we’ll learn to recognize the signs of imbalance—overheating, irritability, burnout—and begin to cultivate tools to restore equilibrium.

To embody this wisdom, we’ll move through a grounding and restorative practice that blends cooling asana, soothing pranayama, and sacred mantra to calm the inner flame. With each breath and movement, we alchemize fire into clarity, anger into insight, and striving into surrender. Whether you’re navigating the heat of summer, the pressure of perfectionism, or simply seeking stillness amidst intensity, this series invites you into a sanctuary of calm—where cooling energies and lunar grace restore your natural rhythm and inner peace.

Participants Will Learn:

  • The nature of Pitta Dosha and its role in the body and mind

  • How aggravation of Pitta can lead to dis-ease

  • Mantra and Pranayama practices for cultivating coolness in the body and mind

  • An all-levels yoga practice that can be utilized whenever the call to slow down, cool down, or become more grounded is needed.

Presenter: Kelly Coleman: Ayurvedic counselor, educator & E-RYT 200

“Over the past 15 years, I have immersed myself in the study and practice of Ayurveda, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Karma Yoga, and Raja Yoga—disciplines that have become pillars of my life.

At the core of my work lies a mission: to inspire meaningful growth and connection. My approach integrates physical wellness, mental clarity, and spiritual harmony—empowering individuals to unlock their highest potential.

In every role I take on—as a teacher, presenter, or guide—my purpose remains clear: to help others awaken their potential one curiosity, one practice, and one connection at a time. Together, we can create lives filled with balance, purpose, and joy—a reflection of the infinite possibilities within us all.”

Free for members

$15 for public
