Yellow Barn Farm, Reborn

Spring is a time for rebirth.

It’s a period of preparation for the bustling summer months that lie ahead. The snow melts. The ground thaws. The sun hangs in the sky later, longer. We emerge from the dormancy of winter with a new vision and a fresh fire to carry it out.

We’ve been thrilled to build such a vibrant and caring community through regenerative and sustainable agricultural practices, education, and collaborative events these past few years. This winter, we felt it was time to pause, reflect on what we’ve accomplished, and think about how we want to expand and enrich this community as we evolve.

With this in mind…

… it’s time to share our new vision for Yellow Barn Farm.

Our first realization?
A change in our look.

Though the barn is integral to our farm, it is one of many pieces that comprise the whole. With the help of @lisaviviani and @austinrlammers, we’ve created a new brand identity that encompasses that whole and reflects our vibes and values.

Playing on the shape of a leaf — the most ubiquitous symbol of the life cycle — our logomark pays homage to the circularity, balance, and interaction we value in our land and in our community.

Our colors, inspired in part by the varying hues of our chicken eggs, are grounded and earthy, energized by the deep sandstone so prevalent in Northern Colorado.

Derived from the logo are a number of cyclical shapes to enliven the brand. These explorations embody the rhythm and infinitude found in nature — qualities we strive to emulate in our practices.

Paired with our type, our identity strikes a balance between friendliness and grit, polished with a modernized touch that points to our future.

To best see how these elements interact together, continue to peruse our revamped website, or check us out on Instagram at @yellowbarn.farm.

Better yet, visit the farm for an action day, healing event, or to shop a variety of local goods at @thestalkmarket.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing all the new developments on the farm, everything from our adopt-a-tree program to our small business incubators. A busy season is in front of us. We’ve found a good place to start.

We hope you enjoy and embrace this identity the same way we have.

With Gratitude,
The YBF Team
