Yoshua Greenfield, homesteader, microbe medium, musician, and lover of all things nature, has been cooking for 25 years. As the co-creator and former host of Brothers Green Eats, an alternative cooking show that inspired millions of people around the world to get excited about preparing delicious home-cooked food, he now spends his days on a homestead in Boulder, tending to the land and animals, and teaching others simple, land-based skills. He and his partner Aja enjoy helping like-minded individuals connect with the beauty and potency of nature’s medicine.

For the Yellow Barn Film Festival, Yoshua will create a meal utilizing local meats and seasonal produce that really honors and appreciates the simplicity of such well grown ingredients. You'll sample slow cooked meats stewed in apple cider, eat fresh baked sourdough with some local grains, whipped herbal goat cheese from goats just down the road, and we shall see what else sparks inspiration from Yellow Barns amazing gardens.

Nicole Sheppard, owner and operator of Radiant Kitchen in Boulder, is a passionate chef, farmer, and advocate for sustainable living. With over 15 years of experience in cooking, farming, and sourcing fresh ingredients, Nicole has dedicated herself to creating food that nourishes both people and the planet. Through Radiant Kitchen, she combines her deep connection to the land with her love of serving others, providing food that not only tastes incredible but also uplifts the entire community.

For the Yellow Barn Film Festival, Nicole will be crafting lunches that reflect her mission of supporting local farms and ecosystems. Expect vibrant, nutrient-dense dishes that celebrate the peak of the season, prepared with sustainable ingredients that nourish you from the inside out. From farm-fresh vegetables to carefully sourced grains and herbs, Nicole’s creations will feed your body and spirit, making you feel connected to the local land and its thriving community.

HOW TO FEST

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

  • There are no physical tickets, all ticketing is done online. Please present the QR code (emailed to you after purchase) at the door upon entry for the screening.

  • Make sure you have your phone with you to present your ticket! If you do not have a smart phone, please print out your ticket to be scanned at the door.

  • Please sign our liability waiver before arriving to the festival:

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

  • There is FREE (yay) PARKING along the main road when you enter the property.

    Handicap parking is located near the barn box. Map below.

  • You may purchase tickets when you arrive, just look for the QR codes or come back to this page and navigate to "tickets." All ticketing is online.

  • The screenings are all accessible for wheelchairs, though please take note that the roads are dirt once you enter the property. Accessible restrooms are also available at YBF.

AFTER YOU ARRIVE

  • If the screening is sold out, fear not! There will be a stanby line. Once all the ticket/pass holders have entered, we will count the number of people in standby and do our best to add seats in order to get everyone in!

  • Light snacks and water will be available for purchase, and there will be a food truck later in the afternoon. However, if you're doing the damn thing and staying all day (we salute and appreciate you) maybe pack a power bar just in case.

  • Entry for the mixer is included with the price of any single ticket.
